My name is Katie Lindsey and I have been involved in photography for about 6 years now. I am currently attending a university where I am studying fine art photography. I have had three pictures published on jones soda bottles, excepted into the annual Minnetrista art fair, and the BSU annual Art show, and won an award of excellence from photography forum magazine. I still have one year in college, and beginning to look for graduate school opportunities. My goal in the next five years is to graduate college with a master's in Fine Art photography, and try to become a professor. My interests in photography as of now include black and white as well as some color prints. I use a 35mm Minolta, a TLR Mamiya, a TLR rolleiflex, a Holga, a pin hole camera, and a 4 x5 camera and basically what ever else I can get my hands on. I hope to gain more experience in other cameras as well as working with different types of printing processes. I have worked with liquid emulsion, senatype, and other such alternative processes however. I mostly enjoy shooting outdoors, because I am more familar with it, and my subjects are usually run down buildings, or spur of the moment shots. However, recently I have worked more in the studio with lighting and I would like to be more experienced with portrait photography. Further more, I have worked with polaroid emulsion lifts, and paper negative prints, as well as other various printing techniques.
